What the £150 Stop Smoking Programme includes

Your appointment normally lasts approximately 45–90 minutes in total. We begin with a consultation and then move into stop-smoking hypnotherapy designed around what we have discussed.

1. Initial consultation

We look at your smoking habits, routines, triggers and the situations in which you are most likely to want a cigarette.

2. Tailored hypnotherapy

The hypnotherapy is shaped around your own patterns, reasons for stopping and the information gathered during the consultation.

Understanding your smoking triggers

Smoking can become linked with particular times, feelings, places and routines. You may notice urges with coffee, after meals, while driving, during a break, when drinking alcohol, or when feeling stressed or bored.

Exploring these patterns at the start of the appointment helps me understand what smoking has been doing for you and where the strongest associations may be. This allows the hypnotherapy to be more individual rather than using the same approach for everyone.

How hypnotherapy supports your decision to stop

Hypnotherapy uses focused attention, imagery and suggestion to work with the habits and associations connected with smoking. You remain aware and in control throughout the session.

Research into hypnosis for smoking shows mixed results. Some people find it a useful part of their quit plan, while others may benefit from medication, NHS stop-smoking services or other evidence-based support. I do not present hypnotherapy as a guaranteed cure.

Your recording to use at home

You will also receive a hypnotherapy recording to use at home to help reinforce the work from your appointment.

The recording will normally be sent to you by email within one week of your appointment.

Further follow-up support

If you feel you would benefit from additional support after your stop-smoking appointment, further follow-up is available.

Follow-up support is not included in the £150 programme and is charged separately. We can discuss this if you feel you need it.
